Inspired by current aesthetics surrounding the typically platonic relationships between humor, beauty, and death, I look to the processes of printmaking to layer these subjects in a way that is aesthetically pleasing yet visually compelling. Florals are normally associated with beauty and reward, and commonly thought of as feminine. By layering such imagery with more blunt context, I aim to bring light to the realities of mental health and how people so often attempt to hide these realities on the outside.
